Safety

For all process options, payment has been collected from passenger before purchase request is sent to you. So there is no risk of passenger not paying.
Depending on actual order status, MilesP2P decides if to release payment to miles owner or to refund to passenger.

Risk

Booking flights for other people is generally allowed. However most airline companies reserve the right to cancel a booking for any reason. In rare case it occurs, it can usually be resolved by providing necessary documents to airline companies. If the problem can't be resolved, payment is NOT provided. However the chance is small -- generally at less than 1% (Frequent booking for other people, or history of selling to other broker, increase the risk dramatically). (Can MilesP2P cover the risk?)

Proceed only if you can afford the possibility of losing airline account and miles (although chance is lower than 1% in MilesP2P's history, it did happen few times).

Booking hotel stays for other people is similar to booking flights as described above.

Few times airline company or hotel may contact you to confirm the booking, simply acknowledge it. Passenger's info is available in Order Information page. For the safety of your miles or hotel rewards, NEVER tell airline company or hotel that you're selling them. Sharing MilesP2P's info to airline company results in forfeit of active and future payments for all your orders.

Transfer may fail by less than 2% chance for Citi Thankyou Points and Chase Ultimate Rewards, and by less than 20% for AMEX MR.

If it happens, points are bounced back to your account. There is no risk of lost of points. There is no occurrence of points lost in MilesP2P history.

By less than 1% chance Chase Ultimate Rewards become not able to transfer to miles after a transfer (One occurrence in MilesP2P history). MilesP2P is not responsible for it. Workaround is to transfer most rewards in one transfer.

Rewards are transferred to your own miles account and let buyer use it, by less than 5% chance airline company may audit account and/or incoming miles.

  • If it happens within 3 days from miles arrival: you're fully paid only if you can provide photocopy of ID to airline company (final outcome doesn't matter).

  • If it happens 3 days later than miles arrival: you're fully paid. Sending photocopy of ID to airline company is not a requirement any more, although MilesP2P really appreciates it.

  • In both cases, if you send photocopy of ID to airline company that results in successful resolution, additional $1/k will be paid to you.

Proceed only if you can afford the possibility of losing airline account.

Quantity Adjustment
  • MilesP2P may only take part of your rewards/miles.
  • Unit price won't be affected if quantity taken is different from in the order.
  • When instruction with quantity different from your order is available, you have a chance to Accept/Decline it.
  • The rest points can still be taken by making a new order if quantity is no less than minimum.

Privacy

Protected. MilesP2P and passenger don't access your miles/rewards account.

Miles/rewards owner will be asked for non-sensitive personal info that helps passenger to claim relationship between them.

Cancellation of ticket must be executed. Once passenger requests cancellation, you're not paid for miles/rewards since they'll be re-deposited into your account upon cancellation. MilesP2P sends multiple emails and text messages to notify miles owner. Lost of miles due to not responding to cancellation request is NOT covered by MilesP2P.

To transfer rewards to buyer, AMEX MR and Chase Ultimate Rewards require addition of authorized user.

It is safe to do so since buyer don't know any of your credit card info.
